My fig babies

I was so geeked, I couldn't wait.I tried a horizontal propagation method I've read about, and it's working! It took almost 3 weeks to root. But I have roots AND shoots coming. What next!!??!? (My cup cuttings are just looking at me funny.)

So between purchasing and being the lucky recipient of gifted cuttings, I've got enough cuttings to be a little experimental, Make newbie errors, and with a dismal rate of success, still have over half a dozen trees by next fall.

I will keep my eyes open for more cuttings this spring too. I hope this"summery"winter doesn't create a wintery Summer, and I can get these guys out there making figs.

Good luck

Merry Christmas!

Looks good Chrissy.  You should get a humidity dome over that container.  Use the same exact one that you're
growing in and flip it upside down.  Maybe you can secure them together with clothespins.  Watch your watering
and don't overwater.  The medium you're rooting in looks nice and moist now so you'll be fine.

Doing good. Don't hover too much...But looks good.

"hover"- meaning don't obsess on misting too much water or you will kill it.

I see there is enough moister in the soil.

They r cute little figgy

Hi,
Congrats !
I see a whitish shoot. They need light to grow green and be efficient at photosynthesis.
Good luck !
