My Fig pictures Saved

I tested storing 350 fig pictures on DvD this evening. Total space used was only 60 megabytes.
All pictures have always been sized to use the managment feature on this forum in kilobytes and less than 1 megabyte. Average picture is 70 to 100 kilobytes, some closeups a little more.

My older Dvd disks store 4.7 Gigs which is huge and at that size thousands can fit on disk just would take a while to load and burn .
Burned in ISO mode it worked for me and i can copy them back to hardrive easily to view as i also tested this.

It helps me quite a bit as i have all pictures dated with the exception of a few so i can go back and look for reference as to when fig appeared or ripened on certain plants, growth periods etc etc etc.
Also in case something happens with this old computer.

CDs i also have and store about 650 to 700 megabytes but i prefer Dvds .

I only wished i had taken fig pictures prior to 2008 but its a start.

It is never too late to start something useful if you have not done it before.
Good luck. I enjoy your pictures.
