Congratulations, you have attained what many of us are striving for, the Holy Grail of figs. I'm hoping in the next year or 2 I can join ranks with you and the others who have had success with this variety   

That's hard to look at. I'd sacrifice an Ischia black any day of the week if it would save a Black Madeira.  I'm really going to have to set some supplies aside or come up with a quick way to react to the situation of heavy rain during ripening season of figs.  That or just have them in a greenouse to control the water intake.

lol. love your video! You are a patient man waiting that long for it to fruit. I have a second-year plant that has produced fruit both years but nothing that pretty. Had a splitting problem and premature dropping last season and this season it soured and dropped early again. I'll give it another year or two. Maybe by the end of this season I will get a good one. Enjoy the rest of yours!
