My first Brunswick

I had my first Brunswick today and it was really good.  It was like honey.  This one came from WillisOrchard three years ago.  They don't even carry it on the website.  It was not what I ordered but I really like this one and will propagate it.  We're having some great weather right now for this fig to ripen in here in New England.

I have an unknown trying to root, so if it turns out like yours, I'll be a happy girl!

Hey TMC
very nice handful of Brunswick fig there.. looks great, and I'm sure the honey taste was scrumptious.. What zone, location are you? Any special growing tips used?

Typical Willis Orchard crap. Just as bad as TyTy.

What was it labelled as?

I just found the paperwork.  Back on 2008 I bought a
Black Mission.  That was my first fig tree that survived the winter outside under the steps.

Then in April of 2009 I bought

LSU Gold
LSU Purple
Peter's Honey
Black Jack

I was taken in by the website.  I hadn't discovered Figs4fun and didn't think about ebay at that time.

I know I don't have LSU Gold or a Desert King from them and I didn't buy a Brunswick.  They don't even advertise one.  The rest I haven't Id yet.  Now that I have the paperwork I can see what they are not.

The funny thing is I think I was originally looking to buy an olive tree from them, which I never bought.

I'm in zone 6a in Massachusetts.  There are two more that size ripening on the tree.  No rain forcast for the short term so they should be make it.

Too funny.  Classic lesson for newbies:  Don't trust nurseries in south/west GA.  TyTy and Willis Orchards are both rip-offs.  Buy from people who actually know what they're doing.  as a GA resident, it pains me to say that, but ... I've yet to find anything south of Macon that's legit, and almost everything north of GA (Ison's, Johnsons, etc.) have such a limited selection.
