Beatiful plant

Super! Fantastic growth! Congratulations! This is one on my wish list for a while now...

Mine is a super fast grower as well and fruit is really good. Yours doesn't have the rust problem. Do you spray yours. ??? Beautiful tree.

I don't spray, rust has never really been a problem here, now powdery mildew... that's another story

Please share pics of the ripe fig for us. I'm curious to see what the outside and inside of this fig will look like. Thanks KK!

I've never had this happen to me. Could someone explain why my Calderona is doing this?

None of my other figs have shown similar symptoms.

I'm using the same soil and watering schedule on all. The I258 behind it is of similar age and is perfectly green with fruit from first year cutting.

Hi Sas. Wonder if the Calderona is more sensitive to sun exposure compared to the I258. I could be wrong but the I258 looks protected by the stone wall where the Calderona is in front of some open rails. KK, thank you for the photos of your Calderona fig. How did it taste?

Thanks Leon, I have five different fig trees next to each other and none is showing such colors.
I'm going to switch position add some iron and potassium and see what happens.

Thanks for posting about your Calderona KK.

Hi Sas,
I could be wrong, but your trees just lacks water. I seem to see a fast draining soil in your pot.
I would give her more water, and pot a saucer under the pot. Keep a bit of water in the saucer and see how much water the tree will take up.
This time of the year, I have some pots in buckets and keep a bit of water in the bucket.

JD, I was thinking the opposite. The bottom reservoir appears to be full while the other pots next to it are sucking water at a much faster rate and need watering more often.
Thanks for your suggestion. I saw some fire ants carrying food in the pot. Perhaps they were feeding on the newly formed roots. I gave them a nice treat. Hope that this should fix the problem.
