My first (huge) breba

Hi everybody

I got 19 different varieties of figs last year. And now my first fig was ready to eat... wow, it had a fantastic taste!! And it was very big, over 190 grams, is that normal?
The store sold it without a name, but I am pretty sure it is a longe d'aout. The plant is 3 years old and is in a 35cm pot.

It is my first post, so I hope it will work with the pics.

Geez that thing is a monster!

Nice looking fig and it is so huge.  It looks like 1/2 foot (18 cm) long?
Wonder how many figs that size a tree produces?

The tree has only 5 brebas. But that one was the biggest...

What are the 2nd crop figs like?

Nice!

The second crop figs are also already bigger than the figs of the other varieties, but I am not shure if they will get ripe in my climate (Switzerland). II had no crop ladt year so I don't know how they will taste

Great looking fig!
Good luck maybe it will produce a 2nd crop this year for you.

I've never seen a fig that big. Does it have much of a taste or is it kind of bland?

No the taste was absolutely fantastic! Also my wife loved it. It was very sweet, but compared to other figs I tried so far it was not just sweet but also had a very fruity, berry taste. the texture was soft, skin was very thin.

That's a special treat, thanks for sharing your pictures with us.

This is not the "Aubergine" forum....figs only please.  :  )

Very beautiful 1st crop fig.  Hope the rest is the best.

I never imagined a fig could get this huge and also taste good,...... blue ribbon!

That is one Gigantic Fig.

@Swissguy99, tis is an impressive size fig...Welcome to THE forum :)

That is incredible!  It certainly looks like LdA.

Aloha and welcome. Yeah, that's one nice-sized fig.  And to think you're still waiting on the main crop!  You could even pass it off as a papaya, it's so big.
