Deeeeelicious!  Very bright mixed berry jam flavor.  It ripened in far less than optimal conditions but it was still great.

Oh Bob - that is a beautiful fig!!!!!!!!!  I am so glad it had met and or exceeded your expectations!  And it is a very pretty fig too ;)

What can I say? nothing, but I can type: I am drooling here!  I want one of this too!

That looks great.  I had an Italian Honey fig this summer that dehydrated on the driveway and it was gooey and figgy inside with that nice crunch and nutty flavor from the seeds.  That fig looks like it has some nice seeds to get that crunch from.  If that developed under not optimal conditions I wonder what a great fig will develop with just the right conditions because that looks great already.  I have one UCD Panachee cutting root this year so I'm going to baby that plant and hopefully see some good progress next year.

It does help to buy plants with figs already on them  :)

Now if we can just come up with a nice dark striped fig too.

i think i'll have to look for one. i thought it was all looks, but it seems there's taste to back that up :)
