My First Sal's Corleone

This decided it was ready this morning. I had it covered with an organza bag and it was hanging in it's bag.
Slightly sweet with a hint of melon flavor. Skin was thin and delicious. This tree is very young and came to me a few weeks ago with figs already developing. Thank you Jake!

Good looking pics. This variety is very productive and quite hardy. Some splitting with excess moisture and somewhat late around Philly, but taste is very good and has improved for me as it matured. Main crop figs are a good size too.

Very nice Tami.

Tami...I hope that Sal's Corleone fig tasted as good as it looks...congratulations.

Hi Tami
Congratulations enjoy. I have two Sal's Corleone loaded with figs hasn't ripened any yet, They may not ripen this year, It's getting cold at night.
Vito

They are a tasty and productive but at the forecast of any moisture they split very quickly in any rain for me.

You are right Jack,
I forgot to say the first tiny one it had split before it was even swelled so I pulled it up on the covered deck and managed it's water for this one.
