My first time rooting cuttings

I think its going good so far, I didn't loose any of the Celeste cuttings yet, and only two of the LSU gold cuttings but I think its because they were still to green to try to root. I got the LSU gold cuttings from a sucker off my dads tree and that's where I got the little crooked branch and it seems to be growing roots 3 to 4 times faster then all of them, maybe because its older wood. I am still very inexperienced at this, but I'm learning thanks to all of the useful knowledge from you guys and gals!

Oh I forgot to add that the Celeste cuttings have been in cups about 5 weeks and the LSU gold about 3 weeks and the Celeste is at the top of pic and LSU gold at the bottom of the first pic.

Nice job, Ryan. I did a lot of damage this past winter, when I
tried rooting cuttings for the first time. I did a lot better the second time.
I think it had to do with the warmer temperatures the second time around.
I might follow your example. Any cuttings I acquire will go in the fridge till
May.
Do you think you'll still be able to get those outside this year?
You are in zone 9, so likely, right?
Are you planting in the ground?
Post updates, I'm sure you'll have 5 footers soon!

Thanks, they were basically started outside. They have been outside since I took them out the ziplock and put them in cups. I kept them in a clear tote but not for humidity cause we have enough of that down here. I put them in the tote so I can keep the rain and critters off of them and so I can easily move all of them. They are in the shade almost all day and get maybe the last hour of evening sun when it's going down. I figure as hot and humid as it is down here the sooner I can get them use to it the better, with out killing them of coarse.
I only have plans for one of the LSU golds to go in ground because I'm running out of room by the day, lol. I just wanted to experiment and what ever makes it will be for gifts and trading purposes, and if that can't get them gone I will go visit my dad and put them in the ground at his place.

Congratulations!

Thank you Bob C
