My Goutte d'or (Doree)

From French nursery .Third season ,two winters .I’ve  pinched and have small embryos already.

Last year I had one (lousy) fig from this tree.

Hi,
The leaves on your tree do not resemble the ones on my own "Goutte d'or" .
The leaves on mine have fingers. I'm currently waiting for the brebas to ripe - Whether me or you, someone bought a mislabeled tree :)
If my figs don't show a drop of honey ... I'll know in some weeks ! - hopefully.

Hi jdsfrance,

I see  there  are more than one Doree fig (surprise!) .

Actually, I don’t care. If it is a gut fig ,it is ok for me.

I am waiting…..

My Goutte 'd Or looks completely different as well...

It's leaves have five fingered lobes, very characteristic.
Tree and leaves are kind of dwarf type.
I got it as a gift in spring 2012, 3 weeks ago the first figs ever showed up.

Descriptions says also small tree with deep cutted lobes.

Here's a picture of my Doree:

EDIT:
MY DOREE WAS MISLABELED AND TURNED OUT TO BE A RONDE DE BORDEAUX.
SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION!

Feigenbaum where did your tree originate? Mine is from Joe Morle, it grows like a weed, but my leaves are not five-fingered, more like Pako's.

Rafealissimo,

I am located in Europe, Germany.
My friend purchased it from a local nursery.

But also our best Fig nursery in Germany which grow strains originaly from Baud, France resembles my leaf pattern...

jdsfrance, are your leaves similar to mine?

This Doree from Nelson20vt pretty much look like mine.

He purchased it from Baud,France.

I don't now if there are two strains of Goutte 'd Or...?

My Doree  looks like jdsfrance tree

My Doree is from Baud and the leaves are identical to those of newnandawg.

Hi,
I'll post later a photo from mine.
I hope the figs on mine will get as big as the one on the post linked here in #7 :)

Pako, I've already seen those pics - but they are no match for mine . Those pictured figs could be maincrops and mine so far are brebas.
The leaves are not a match for mine, mine exposes fingers like in pots #4 and #9 .
The source of mine is a local nursery - I cant' trace it back further .

At this point we have 2 different figs with the name Goutee d’or (Doree).

Now I am curious to see haw will perform my type of Doree….which seems to be different from Baud’s Doree.

Hi,
Here are mine. The three trees are on the pic
gdo.JPG

The brebas - one is a bit weird, but those can be the first production of that tree for me.
They are on the bigger tree which is 1,60 meters of height - it is the one with the blue cables to keep her growing up instead of bending towards the dirt.
No maincrop for now for me.
gdo-breba.jpg

That tree has for now some 15 brebas. The first small one has two brebas. The second small one on the left has no fruit .

Jdsfrance, those trees look beautiful!

Jds, that first photo, and the plants depicted are terrific seasonal therapy for my green-deprived eyes!
I really enjoy the interplanting and color, gorgeous and functional, with the lettuce and other greens.
Thanks!
