My heat seeking Guilbeau :) (pic)

This is by far my fastest growing plant right now.

It is a Guilbeau that I rooted as a cutting the 1/1/09

Thanks Herman, I hope the figs are as good as the plant has been.
The plant is 18" from soil line to top, the biggest leaf is a whopping 9.5" long

Thanks for looking, happy gardening.

Cecil,
i hope your others will do as well with time.
Thanks for shareing those pictures.

Thanks Martin,

I have decided to pot all my plants of this year in 3 gal.pots

and not plant any until 011, Henry that is in about the same zone as I told me I would have better luck doing it that way...I NEED BETTER LUCK

Thanks Martin and Henry :)

Cecil,
hmm you just might like the versatality you have in them pots being able to move them out of that hot afternoon Texas sun.
I hear when temps hit a 144 on most surfaces an egg will fry so...............

Martin,

That is true but my RKN have to eat too, I mean goleeeeee

Sides that, If I was a young Whipper Snapper like you I might consider that........But I have about a 20 something year head start on ya, and a lot more miles (I'm a clunker Huh)

Cecil, i have to feel for you with that Texas heat and Rkn,
i always new about Texas heat but only learned about RKN not long ago and was shocked about what they do, heck it would drive me nuts wondering if my plants might get that stuff if i planted ingorund.
My hats off to you , yes i wear a hat outdoors,   not to you know burn whats up there.

Martin,

You have em up there, I sent ya some with that Butt Ugly plant I sent Ya last year.........HAHAHA.......go feed them little ()&&()_

Cecil, i tried my best with that plant indoors, i wish it was summer where i could have worked more with it oudoors. Too bad it died as i really gave it high doses of fertilizer and it was not butt ugly but rather unusual in my eyes i kinda like it as it was different , actually the 1 i have now which is slowly responding is very similar to the one you had sent me in its branching and leaves of course. I have some i stress some hopes for it next season as its starting to slowly repsond and grow off 1 of the 2 branches and busted out a new branch down low.
Cecil, it would have been fun having being neighbors as you seem comical and me being the prankster we would have had a good ole time and lots of fun with them figs and target practice with them gophers of yours.

You say
Sides that, If I was a young Whipper Snapper like you I might consider that........But I have about a 20 something year head start on ya, and a lot more miles (I'm a clunker Huh)

No not a clunker,
you just keep on changing that oil of yours and you have a lot of miles left, heck my jeep i bought with 150,000 on it and change oil regularly it now has 255,000 and runs like a top just the ouside is rusty!  Ha!
 ; )~

Martin,

That Ole Jeep wouldn't rust out like that if it wasn't for all that road salt that the Land of Lincoln has to use so you can travel.
And that plant was doomed from the git go!

Come on down here,./// when It freezes the roads once in a while down here, Texas don't do anything to our roads. We depend on other cars, trucks, trees and anything else to slow us down!

My Guilbeau

Has grown 2 feet in the last 32 days.....Wow

A little update on my Guilbeau :)

I has new little figlets on it now, no chance they will
ripen this year, but very encouraging for 010

Ain't life really good?
