Super yummy, moderately crunchy, pollinated (about 1/2 seeds sank) .
Probably could wait another day or two but was afraid I would never have a bite of it.

Calvin, that is a Paradiso Gene.

Francisco, the main crop is still huge but a tad smaller than the breba and just as tasty. The size difference might be because of the fig numbers. While there were few brebas, the main crop is more numerous.

There are enough for 2 people.
The 5 varieties were successfully germinated last week so I think your chances are high.

Igor, wow the Paradiso Gene seems to like California!  Here in Maryland it looks like I will have to wait until my Paradiso Gene is three years old before I get any fruit.  I had it in a container its first year and it didn't bear any figs (I probably would have pulled them off anyway though).  Then this year I planted it in the ground in May in a primo spot for sun.  Even with pinching it didn't set any figs until around early July.  Now it is loaded with figs that will not ripen.  Hopefully next year will be the year.

Awesome. I have been trying to get ripe figs from my Paradiso Gene for 7 yrs. Such a late fig here.

Paul:I also had bad luck with PG,it only ripe a couple of fruits in some better years,but not every year.
Also it will linger in a semi ripe state till it will spoil or the frost damages it.
Tell you the truth I pulled it out of the ground and damped it.
After about 6 years of growing of course!

I am growing Paradiso Gene in a container and have about 16 figs ripening on a 2nd year tree. I am starting it early in the greenhouse to make sure everything ripens. Hopefully I will get a breba or two next year as well. I will report as soon as something ripens, I believe the fruit set in mid-May.

I tasted 2 figs this year and they were as excellent as the last year. Large and yummy. My tree is in a very sunny spot and ripens nicely.
Looking at the feedback above, it seems the Paradiso Gene really likes the sun ( like the Long Yellow).
I highly recommend it for the SoCal and places like Arizona.

Igor, did you germinate any seeds from your Paradiso G?

I did last year. This year I managed to protect them from critters with a net and they were happily consumed. :)

The ones that germinated were given away and I had not kept any.
