My little babies

Thanks a lot to my friends from the forum Rafed, Robert and Art for beautiful cuttings that I got from them. Here is progress of those cuttings.

Sequoia (and other cuttings do die for) from Rafed
Desert King from Robert
Italian Unknown (Calabria) from Art

Picture #4 (Garden 008) is Mountain fig  from Afghanistan.

Eden, very nice. I have only started just a few cuttings. I will get into full swing Dec-Jan.

don't know about others, but it just amazes me how a stick will turn into a tree and with nothing but water, sun and some fertilizer will give such good "fruit".

Wow, they look great.  Congratulations!

Your babies are beautiful!

Great pictures.  I am going to have to get a new camera.  Thank you for sharing.

have to be careful with those double cups, if water stays in there too long, the water is also inside of the inner cup- soaking the cutting...  I am very worried about that, because I killed a very special cutting by not checking ...upon watering, after a few hours, should go through and take all the excess water from the second cup... I leaned to put  a few pieces of styrform or some bottle caps in the outside cup, that way there is room for the water to go, without soaking the cutting - until I can get to them.

Grasa I punctured outside cups to so water can`t stay in it and I put metal mesh on the bottom to elevate cups for good drainage.

Thank you all.
Martin i use my cell phone to take pictures.

Congratulations on your babies!  That Calabria Fig just wants to grow!  Mine looks just like yours!

Suzi

I can see the flourescent light in the middle, but what type are the other two?  Are they incandescent floods?  Sodium? Mercury?  Just curious, bc I'm thinking of getting a few T-5 flourescents going over the winter.  Plants love happy and healthy!  Great pics!

They are daylight bulbs of 1200 lumens and 6500K.

What are you using for a growing mix?

Your babies look fantastic !

I tried several mixes as you can see in the picture, but far the best results for me is 90% perlite and 10% Fafard 52 mix. So far with this mix 100% success.

Beautiful, congrats to the proud parent!

Growing like weeds Suzi.
