My new fig rooting set up After last years failure

hey guys after all the research I found that after ordering my fig cuttings from the states, everything seems to be going great

I had tried it last year after taking the old mans advice in planting them direct in soil in pots but that had only a small number of cuttings survive most died due to rot

I made up a styrofoam box to keep the heat and humidity up, here in Australia it's starting to warm up so no need for heaters

The other beauty is I can leave the poor plants outside during winter, feel bad for those of you who have to go to drastic measures to keep them dying from frost

Also a few bagged cuttings in a box looking forward to those CDDG CDDB AND CDDN to name a few

Might be the first Aussie with these varieties on the continent if you believe that! Lol

You have some setup Johnny! Very good idea with the styrofoam! I dont know what fig varieties are common in Austraila...what do you have?

Thanks mate was relatively inexpensive just needed time to make
Common cultivars I have here are

White Adriatic
Black Genoa
White Genoa
Yellow Excel
Brown Turkey
Common small green honey fig

The more uncommon and collectable ones are

Blue Provence
Melanzana
Dwarf brown
St Dominic's violetta
Peters honey
Italian honey

And that's from memory

From the states last year I got which survived now 1 year old

LSU tiger
Monstreuse
Stella
Violette de Bordeaux

So far in cuttings imported this year I'm hopefully looking at adding another 30 varieties

Oh and to add
