pete

Thanks Dan, you said it my friend. Rafed what a guy always willing to go out of his way to help out a friend.

Eli well kinda not really hard to explain lol.

Thanks Pete, Im not too sure I have never sampled these figs before.

Nelson,

I'm sure your are aware that di Ruvo is a San Pedro type fig and will only set the breba crop. Those main crop figs will fall off when they get a little bigger. Good luck!

Hi Ruben, yes I am aware that its a san Pedro fig but its always nice to see and hope one of those main crop figs ripen. Desert king does ripen some main crop figs some years. So who knows either way just really happy I finally have a FDR been looking for one for 3 years now.

I hear you. Thought I traded for one last Winter. Still not sure what I got, but it's not a FdR.

Nelson,

Glad I was able to help. You deserve it my friend and I hope it does you well for many years to come.

Thanks for the liquor and wine bottles. The wine bottle won't last too long but the liquor bottle will be put with my other liquor collection. It will make a nice conversation piece.

Thank you Brother, no prob for the booze just wait until I get you the bottle I told you about.

I like drinking that madeira wine myself, cousin is going back in August will tell her to bring some more.

Rafed, I am waiting for my favourite truck delivery. Just kidding. I have FdR. I am thankful to have met you personally. Most welcome to visit. If you have time & if timing is right, will even take you out to catch a humongous sturgeon. Another big fish story.

Hear hear!  Good guy.

But, I don't see a fig.  All I see is an absolutely gorgeous MKIV GTI.

Ah another dark type plant to add to your list of fig plants.
That Rafed is something else he keeps trying to increase the amount of figs i have or sneak me a light type one or both.
Anyway look forward to see how you like its taste in future and thanks Nelson for the pictures .
Look forward to seeing more of your plants soon this season.

Martin,

Just say when

That's a nice looking plant.

Thank you guys, Jason thank you but I beat the crap out of this one litteraly. Too bad you got rid of your MKIV but you got something better now.

Martin, you have taken me to the dark side lol. Been lazy this season on the pics truth is I have not had allot of time to go see them just once or twice a month but will try to post more pics of the trees shortly. Will definately let you know how this figs tastes Martin.

Very nice tree Nelson, I wish mines was about that size but it's still in a cup. I will move it up to a pot next week.

Speaking of a nice guy, I don't think "nice" is the correct description of rafed. He's nice but he's way more. He got me started with my first cutting ever and he hasn't stopped yet. Rafed is the best. I also have a FdR from yours truly. I tried to start in in a bag where it sat for a couple of months or more to the point that I thought it wasn't going to do anything. So when I went on vacation last month I took it out of the baggie and paper towel and put in some very light potting soil. I sat there for a long while until I though again, it is lost. I put in another bin with some other lost causes. Low and behold one day I opened the bin  to get rid of the bad cuttings and I saw a little green on it. It hadn't been water in I don't know how long and so surely I thought is was gone. The little green turn into 2 different little greens and finally it sprouted and rooted. Total time, since February. Here it is today.
