against fungus gnats.

Nepenthes Miranda H.B. Picture plant

lol

love it....

Jennifer

Preachers of the Carnivorous plant gospel say, "Nepethe and Sciaridae no more."

But will it be satisfied with just fungus gnats???

I have some wingless fruit flies I hope will get through until spring.

Will it eat squirrels?

LOL Rafed

That pitcher sure looks big enough for a fat mouse :) Maybe tiny tree rat... minus the tail...

"Tree rat." Thanks for using the proper term. - I was beginning to think everyone here was crazy by referring to them as squirrels.

Looks great. I'm surprised that it looks so great in winter. Don't they need high humidity?

They do like the humidity. This one is brand new today and it came from Florida.

Dadgum that's a biggun! They sometimes call these monkey cups, because occasionally monkeys will - well, make cups of them.

Wow that is one cool looking plant, would love one of them now its summer and flies are getting on my nerves...

Speechless. What we do for these figs ;)

Well that explains it, florida grown. I would try to do what you can to increase humidity around it. Definitely put it in the middle of other plants and maybe put a couple trays with pebbles and water around it to increase ambient humidity as much as possible

It will be fine with no insects until spring.  Really it could probably go a whole year from the looks of it without a single bug.

That's a pretty impressive Nepenthes.  It's long out of the woods too, they're easy to care for from that age.  Good find!

that is really cool!!
