My Petite Negri EL & Coll De Dame Blanc

Purchased this plant last year from Edible Landscaping was a quarter gallon Plant. Its growing on my Balcony on the penthouse seems to like it.

Coll De Dame Blanc rooted March 2011

Nice/beautiful plants Nelson,

Do you plan on leaving all the figs on in that top photo?

Thank You Cecil, well its kind of funny you notice the three bottom figs well they have been on there for 10 weeks now and the ones above only started once I pinched the top about 3/4 weeks ago. I have removed a few that were even smaller but will remove some more as I dont believe the smaller ones that are on the plant now have enough time to ripen here.

Well Nelson you really did it this time.
Showing them fancy containers, fancy container holders and all. ; )

Here is an update on my Petite Negri as of yesterday.

i know it's childish, but i always chuckle to myself when i see signs that say 'park in rear' or 'parking in rear', as you see in the first pic of this thread.

i can't wait to see the inside of that fig, Nelson.  Looks tasty already!

LOL, Jason I lived there for 3 years and until you brought that up I never noticed hehehe. Oh I am patiently waiting on this one its nice and hot today but will be cool tomorrow and saturday will see how it turns out. Will keep you posted.

Nice to see the progression since last year!   Can't wait to see the photos of the sliced fig and for you to tell us how you thought it tasted.  Maybe next season I will be posting about MY Petite Negri, and many others!!

Hey Sara, the 1st pics were taken July 30th this year hopefully this fig will be ripe by the weekend. Cant wait, my VDB still needs a couple more weeks to ripen some figs.

Thanks Neslon for the updated pictures.

No Problem Martin, should of taken a picture last night fig was much darker. Will try to take some pics when I get home tonight If its not too dark outside.

Ah nice looking fig there Nelson.  ; )

Martin, my fiance HATE"S figs with a passion. Probably because im a fanatic for the most part anyhow I cut this fig in half and gave her half wich she was not too happy about she ate her half first and had a grin in her face I ask her well was it good and she said OH WOW this is good got more? LOL So then I ate my half and had fireworks going off, very tasty indeed.
Definately keeping this little guy.

That's a delicious looking fig, congrats.

Delicious indeed, was my very 1st fig sampled from this tree and I was impressed with the flavour. It was fairly small in size I did take a couple pics not the greatest quality next to a Paradiso Nero for size.
