Cecil thats great news , im glad its working out for you.
My neighbors that i rooted for him would have been 3 seasons old this year but it never woke up from storage and now its cut to the soil line till fall to see if anything sprouts. So we are wating to see but i said to him i have a VdB growing and near a foot tall now and will go in that container if the sals does not do anything. Good to here your plants are doing well as you baby them like most of us do and hate to lose any of them.
So next growing season i bet your looking forward to trying some on the palate!
