my upside down semi tree roots...

Call it a semi tree, it just needed roots, had nice branching.. well, after about a month hanging upside down... here they are! Tomorrow I will pot it up.

I crumbled the moist newspaper around the bottom, leaving me a window to look at it, without handling... no moss, no mold, just healthy looking roots, I see that the newspaper look almost dried...

The second semi tree is a bit behind, but showing little eyes also.  Wish me luck on transplanting.

Congratulations and best of luck for its future!

Bob, you have one, a sibbling.. what is happening with it?

Grasa I think that was a firewood logs you had on top of the car. I can say you sure have the touch. Can you tell us how you did it? Mine are doing great, those I got from you that is. Wish the weather would make up its mind. Hot one day and freezing the next. All my cuttings are outside and stop growing when the nights are cold. Best wishes on this ones future.

Zone 8 South West TX

After all cuttings were taken, many fatties sent out also, I had these long 3/4 to inch think branches. one was almost 6 feet. I am rooting them long, one is hanging upside down ( as this one in the picture) in my cold frame, it was 80 in there today - another I put in a large pot with regular soil in, and put is on its side, so there is no stress on the cutting, or will not lean, since it is top heavy without roots.  I put the pot in the warmest place and shoved the top in the neighbour's hedge, so the top will not be getting scorched by any sun, but the pot should be very warm and on its side, it should not get rain inside..  shall see what happens..

Nothing yet but they're in a large pot and haven't been there long enough to have roots.  The 1st you sent the little ones have rooted but the bigger one is in a grocery bag so it will take a while to show roots.  They have a long way to travel.
