My VDB in Phoenix

Long time Lurker, rarely post but couldn't help but share my recent VDB pic from my in ground tree in Phoenix. This year looks to be a great crop from several of my figs. I've got about 40 cuttings of assorted varieties rooted to grow out with the plan to offer local fruit growers with multigrafted fig trees in the future though our local rare fruit growers chapter.

Looks Great!!!

I should mention that those leaves look vastly different than my vdb leaves. Are most of yours deeply lobed with serrated edges?

Just looking at leaf shape I would say it looks like a Celeste. I could very well be wrong though.

Most are longer, more finger like... I've added another image. Fruit has a berry like flavor to it, I've not had Celeste so I am not sure if this is one of the identifiers of a Celeste fig. Let me know what you think! I wouldn't put it past Dave Willson to have it wrong ;)

Looks like VDB. Mine have red fruit at the stagnant stage just like yours. Celeste leaves are fuzzy with peach fuzz like hairs. Unripe Celeste figs are blue or green at the stagnant stage and pinkish brown ripe. Violet De Bordeaux is dark purple to jet black when ripe, has a dark red interior and a distinct resin berry flavor.

Thanks very much. I should really get images of the leaves and ripe Fruit of all my figs this year and post here for greater inspection. I know that some aren't always what they are sold as!
