My very first fig order!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! After scoping out this site for imformation and admiring everyone elses trees and cuttings, I finally went on a mission to order my own tree. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Peter's Honey so that was my pick. I noticed a lot of nurseries were selling small plants and I just don't think I have that much patience to wait. I found Two Bros Figs on Ebay and was thrilled to see they were selling big trees. Has anyone else had any experiences with them? All I can say is I was very impressed. I'm so happy that now it's finally my turn to share pictures and post. Hopefully by the end of this year I get to join in on cutting trades with my Peters Honey. I ended up potting this guy in a 3 gallon. Just look at the size and roots!!!!

Citrus Peter's Honey?
I doubt you will be able to harvest figs from it :)

Welcome to the forum PurplePersimmon. After reading your post my jaw dropped when I saw your first picture and it was citrus not fig. I thought you had be had. Then I scrolled down to see a very nice fig tree. Congrats on it and with luck you just might taste some this year.

 Congratulations!
That's a lot of roots! I bet it grows through the roof this summer.
I've had fig trees before and love figs but never dreamed there were so many varieties until this year. I'm trying to start several varieties of cuttings. I hope to be sharing them soon too.
I'm really impressed with roots on this picture.  Good luck

Lol..thank you everyone! I didn't realize what everyone meant by the citrus until I scrolled up and completely forgot about the citrus tree next to the fig tree. Citrus kinda stole the spotlight. @  Soni, I agree with you...too many varieties!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

That tree looks like it will be bearing fruits this year! That thing is big! Thanks for sharing :)

Welcome and enjoy.  Here is a link you may find useful in the future and save a lot of heartache.

Congrats nice tree.
I have some cuttings and a few small rooted trees.
I was ordering some other fruit trees from Stark Brothers so i orderd a Hardy Chicago fig tree from them .
It came in a well rooted 4"x4"x10" pot about 28" tall perhaps 1/2 caliper size with a few green buds .
I potted it up ina WalMart 16" self watering pot . using 70% MG poting soil and 30% perlight.

Would a tree that size have fruit this year or in a couple years ?

Great roots on that tree, hope it grows a bunch for you......also, welcome to the Forum.

@ Steve, thank you for the link. I will keep that in mind when I decide to be brave and order more :) @ Austin thank you for sharing. I'm confident this tree will fruit this year. I've already got green budding and it's only the beginning of the season. I will continue to post updates. I feel I got my moneys worth on this one. @ Vince, thank you and thank you everyone else for the welcome.
