My Winter Cuttings, Now !

This was my first year to root Fig cuttings and I had some good luck..... Of course, I lost some by over watering. Today, I potted up 26 cuttings in ( 1 Gallon pots) that have been under grow lights for about 2 to 3 months  24/7. Now, I got to get them acclimated to the hot Southern Sun and Temps.

In this Photo there are 26 plants from cuttings, Brooklyn Dark, Antonio Black, Green Isiahi, M vs B, Ronde De Bordeaux, JH Adriatic, Sweet Diana,Gino's Black, Sal's EL, Scott's Black, Salem Dark, to name a few of them...

Hope everyone had good luck this Winter Rooting Indoors.

Wow, congratulations!!

Norhayati

Looks good frank, this was my first year rooting as well, didn't go so well. Looks like you'll have plenty to keep you busy though.

lovely trees there :)

They look great.!!!  What do you think your success rate was for being your first winter. My ratio was really bad, due to fungus gnats. I think I have 2 out of 100 cuttings from the winter still alive.

Aloha, Frank!  Looks like you've been busy over the winter.  Really nice!

Nate

Very nice job

Nice work! Congrats from Georgia Joe

There so cute when at that stage.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.

It looks like you've got it down, Frank. Nice varieties too. Way to go!

You got more plants going than I have in my first 3 years!

Very nice!

Awesome Frank, great collection. Many smiles looking at that photo

Looks like you've created yourself your own FIG Nursery! Nice job.

Fantastic job Frank, they look great and healthy!

Very nice looking plants Frank:)

Armando,Sorry, for your bad luck !!  I have an outside large bldg and used some T8 lights with Full Spectrum Tubes..As the plants grew I raised the grow lights. I too, had fungus gnats, maybe not so bad
as you...Tried not to keep plants over watered (hard to do)...I think it may have been "Beginners Luck"

Thanks, to everyone for the kind remarks. :  )

Awesome job!

Looks like a Crimson Tide football team running on the field. Bear Bryant would be proud. Wishing you continued success.

Great job Frank, your wood lattice is the perfect filter for adapting them to sun light, you should have no problems.

Well done!

You're gonna have a burgeoning fig forest in a few months.

They look great, just go slow with the direct sunlight, very slow or you'll cook them.

Amazing work!  Awesome, Frank!
