Looking good. Nice color.

Pattee , Zaino's nursery sells nice size  fig trees for the money. I have purchased a 6 ft tall Atreano from them that is performing nicely.   Angelo  Zone 7A  NY, LONG ISLAND

Nice Pattee

Hi Angelo . I agree they have great prices/sized trees.  I bought last year and this year: 2- Atreano Gold, Zaino's Negronne, 2- Zaino's Black, Zaino's Italian Purple Black and this Zaino's Italian Purple Red. Great trees and looks like all will have figs this season. That's exciting !

Thanks Mike !

Pattee, Did the Zainos black produce for you last year? I bought one this spring and it has about 20 figs on it now.

JohnnieB , I bought those this spring also .  I don't think either one has that many on it - will have to check later.
Do you have any other varieties that were grown for Zaino's ?  He didn't have Petite Negri this year .

I also have the Atreano and a nice Negronne that I picked up this spring. The Area no is covered in figs. I plan on adding to the color took next spring one of each of the purple red and the purple black. It's a 2 hour drive each way for me.

Pattee, those look really promising. They're beautiful.

Pattee, those are some beautiful little figlets!  Too bad Zaino doesn't ship.

Thanks Tami and Greenfig!

Greenfig it is a large nursery - shame they don't ship.

Those may well be the prettiest little baby figs I have seen.

Pattee...

Reading and looking with interest.  The trees look clean and healthy.  Nice violet-red coloration showing on the figlets...portends nice things to come.

May the "new" Zaino's trees continue to surprise you...in a good way.

Keep the pictures coming.  These Zaino's trees are new, and I would like to see how they perform.  So far, so good.

(You can't beat their prices for bearing size, fig trees).

Frank

Frank , these trees are healthy. The other trees are showing figs also , but these were red.

I'll post pics of the other trees soon and their figlets to compare.

Maybe JohnnieB will post pics of his ZBlk also.

Goss , thanks !

If I can figure out how to post pics, I will take some on Wednesday and post them.

I bought an Italian black, or purple from them, can't remember.  Definately not the same name as yours but it looks a hell of a lot like brown turkey.  They sold me an excellent negronne so I let the other one slide.

Hi Ed , now I'll have to post pics of my Blk and Purple Blk for sure !

Squash that Japanese beetle! Nice plant.

LOL Jeff , I did right after the pic was taken !! Wondered if anyone noticed him .

These are close up pics of the 2 Zaino Italian Blk's bought this spring.
#1 has a breba . Will post more as figs get ripe.

So the good news is that at least I got to take pics of my It. Purple Red's baby figs !

The bad news is that all those red babies are GONE !! AGGHHH !!!

The cardinals have been in the trees scoping all the fig trees out of late , but I didn't think I had to cover them up when they were that small !

Is that even possible that they would eat them at that stage?
