This fig continues to impress me, first with its sweet and large breba, then with it's productivity. This year it's loaded with figs. This tree came from the area around Naples, Italy. My uncle's neighbor who's an old Napolitano brought it from his hometown long time ago. He gave me a small sucker three years ago. The flavor is very sweet and juicy. I enjoy collecting these ethnic varieties from immigrants, you never know what you end up with.
Bass, another nice looking interior at least to me, again thanks for sharing.
Bass, how does your Naples white compare to your Brooklyn white when it comes to cold hardyness? Bob Harper
I haven't grown Naples white in the ground yet. They're probably around the same hardiness. I checked on the mother tree of the Naples white this spring, it wasn't protected overwinter. It was damaged to about 1 ft off the ground. I would say they're probably around the same hardiness, but not sure. I will tell you that the breba of the Naples white is much better than Brooklyn White breba.
