Naples white breba

Picked a ripe breba of the Naples white this morning, I have to say it's a was an excellent sweet flavor, and wasn't watery.

It's a very productive tree, of both breba and main crop. The main crop is easily spoiled in the heavy rain though. otherwise it's a large good looking fig.

that's a good size fig.

Yes it's as big as a pear. Keep in mind, My daughter is my hand model.

Bass,
Is the flavor more on the honey side or berry side?

  thanks,
   Pete

It tasted like clover honey mixed with toasted sesame seeds.

Bass, How would you compare Naples White with Brooklyn White? If you had to choose one over the other given limited space- which one would you recommend?

I would go for the brooklyn white.

Hi Bass, did you happen to notice if the breba had a violet hue under the skin?
thanks, Sergio

Bass, thank you. Can you explain why the BW?

That looks great!  What would you say is the best white/green fig you've tasted.

>>> It tasted like clover honey mixed with toasted sesame seeds.

I am amazed how good the human taste buds can be.

As for my poor buds, they can only distinguish between them (figgy)
"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".

sergio, yes it is.

leon, i like the flavor of the brooklyn white better i think, although when naples white is fully ripe tastes great. the breba on naples white tastes better than main crop. this fig doesnt like rain and humidity.
i got this tree from an old italian man who brought it from naples, so i called it naples white, i later found an identical fig called napolitana blanca.

Thank-you Bass, I believe that the older the fig tree gets, (perhaps at least10) the flavor will reach 100% sweetness and flavor, the Fioroni way. Thank-you also for the name, I will call it also, Naples White, Sergio in NJ.

Thank you Bass.

I'm a little upset that no one brought this up yet. But...What a beautiful hand your daughter has. Exellent job on modeling. Bass, your hand is not as beautiful as hers. That will be all that I have to say about that.

What a beautiful fig!  I love the color inside.  It sounds like it would do well in my climate - what do you think?  N. Texas - hot, mostly dry - hasn't rained much and the humidity is not too high although the natives start crying about it at 70%!  I'm from Long Island, 70% is nothin!
