Nardi Black Breba

Posting some pics for paully22. Awesome tasting fig.

Very nice looking fig thanks Nelson for sharing his photos wow what a nice looking fig yummyyy.

These are breba figs. The main crop fig size is smaller. Until today I have not been able to pin down its taste except to say it is very pleasant - definite keeper. In my zone, I am not able to harvest most of NB crop. NB is very similar to Enrico.

I shall need Nelson's help to post Enrico's pic's. Another very pleasant tasting fig.

Paully is enrico the fig you said that was your favorite?

Nice fig.
The fruit reminds me of Sal(C).

Paully22,you should try in your zone:black greek, florea, tacoma violet,my unknown black portuguese, marseille blk and salem dark, they are the earliest varieties for me ,here in Cleveland,OH. I'm having the main crop right now.  Marius

Paully,
Nardi Black looks good. Is the eye sealed? Do you know much about its tolerance to rain and humidity?

Congratulations, Paully!
Figs look beautiful and plant look very healthy!
Just one dream plant!
Congratulations!

@Marius - Thanks for making the recommendations. Sure glad your zone can produce some good figs. Myself & another good fig friend have been trialing different varieties especially if they are early & good tasting. I do have the variant suggestions made except for Unk Dark Portuguese. Apart from these variants I am currently trialing some variants like Gino, Ariane, Valliery, Morena, Rosetta, Dauphine etc to gauge their potential for my zone. The most reliable variant now is Desert King and if I can find a few more that is as reliable & productive as DK, I will have many figs to enjoy. A very tasty fig but so far not productive is Beall. Strongly recommended variant to have. My friend is trialing Lamperia & Doree. Hopefully we can find something like DK
qualities.

@JD - NB has an open eye. So far it has not been fully tested by consistent rain. It's main crop does not have much chance to ripen and be tested by rain after mid Oct. It is a keeper and the brebas is just as good as the few main crop figs I manage to get.

Paul,

Looking good.
Hope mine will fruit next season.

Jimmie, the main crop figs do have a smaller eye but I think it is a tad big cant remember too good now. Should have some ripe main crop in the next two weeks will post pics then.

Paul I now regret pulling all my breba's off this spring should of left atleast 2-3 oh well maybe next season.

You will like it Rafed. From the same tree where your cuttings were taken during your visit.

Paul,

I take back what I said.
I looked at mine earlier and it has around five figs on it.

Now the question is will they ripen?

Bump.

A very good fig. The best tasting fig this year  together with VdB, Petite Aubique.
