What's the taste like?
Nice looking fig Nelson . Good to see ya on the forum again . John
Bob the flavor is similar to a sals corleone it's sweet very juicy and fruity. This particular plant survived outdoors 2010/11 winter in a pot and still produced a dozen breba that summer. Also larger than the my sals corleone brebas. I also noticed the Nardi blk generally ripens a week or two earlier than sals corleone. Thanks John trying to visit the forum as often as possible when I'm not babysitting or working.
You are doing great Nelson. I could not do it growing in a pot. That's a perfectly ripe Nardi Blk. Even my son's dog knows how to enjoy the many Nardi Blks. If they are not nicely ripen, he spits them out. He wasted many figs. I prefer a chilled Nardi Blk. Its so good. Nardi Blk main crop production is large.
Great fig Nelson . Did not know it was so hardy.Do you manage to get some from the main crop ?Will try to get one or two sticks next season.Francisco
Looks like a great fig Nelson. Nice pics.
Paul,You still have that dog after all he's done to you? You are a better man than I am. LOLNelson,My N.B. better start ripening or else it's getting the Martin treatment. 55gl drum and 20lbs. of charcoal.JK.
