a visit to the figs this morning provided a glimpse at Mother Nature's protector taking a nap on my new Celeste. Hope he spends lots of time loitering around our fig plantation.

Oh, I could deal with him much more easily than a sneaky snake! Can you train him to eat birds? :D

Another check and now a Praying Mantis out on the prowl , sitting on top a two year old Brown Turkey.

Found a pair of PMs as well.

Praying Mantis I can deal with - snakes - not so much ! I hadn't seen any PM earlier this season , but happily spotted 2 in separate parts of the yard last week.
