Ok, Here are pictures of the unknown fig.  As it turns out, I think there are 2 unknowns.  I have the pictures labels tree #1 and tree #2 just to keep them straight.  The figs on tree #1 aren't ripe yet.  They are a lighter green than tree #2 and the leaves have 5 lobes.  Tree #2 has some ripe but some aren't.  The unripe on tree #2 are darker green and looks like they have ribs on them.  Tree #2 looks to have mostly 3 lobed leaves.  Each tree grows figs in clusters.  The ripe ones on Tree #2 are large, yellowish-green, tiny white spots on them, no honey at the eye and they seem to have a tendency to split at the eye, no brown spots when ripe. They are mildly sweet with a bit of a melon flavor and somewhat juicy.   I can't say much about tree #1 as it had no ripe ones yet.

I looked through a bunch of old postings for green figs and I think yours sounds most like the Green Ischia.  Do the leaves on this plant compare to the Ischia you have?

the leaves on #2 look like some on my black triana, but right now there are 3 different leaves on this fig.

The photos of the Green Ischia in the link you posted look identical to the figs on tree #2.  That was my first guess but I'm very new to the different varieties and wanted confirmation.  Tree #1, is different; the figs are very light green and small right now (unripe), where as the figs on tree #2 (unripe) are small and DARK green with ribs.  Thanks for you replies and I will keep looking for similar pics of tree #1.

When you get some ripe figs on tree #1 update this so we can have a look at it.

Jules,  Are any of these pics from "Stanmore". One of those rooted cuttings you gave me last year is finally starting to put out some nice leaves.. and they don't look anything like these pictures.  They have the long finger like lobes like Brunswick.  They look an awful lot like my RdB leaves.. but not quite.  I'll take a picture when I happen to be out there with a charged up phone.

No, I don't have any pics of the Stanmore and I the cuttings I had didn't make it. The Stanmore figs are large and green but I don't think I got a pic of the leaves.

aaa, Could be I be guess. No idea what tree #1 is. It turned out to be a large yellow skinned fig with amber pulp. Most people have said #2 is probably Green Ischia.

green ichia/verta are described as having deeply lobed leaves as in pic 1
they also have plain green skin.
pic 2 shows green skin whith white dots as in d/king.

Isn't Desert King a San Pedro variety and therefore will need pollination to set the main crop? Are there fig wasps in Texas?

Boy this is a tough one, maybe pic #1 is a Peter's Honey or LSU Gold?

Here's a picture of the one Jule's and I called Stanmore Green with the long finger-like lobes.
