Here is some negretta figs on my plant.

Martin, that's about as pretty a picture of figs that I've ever seen. I may have to get me one of those trees.

Martin,
Will you thin those figs or allow them to grow as is?

Martin, in the second picture, they look like a cluster of grapes. We should all be so lucky!

Thats a wonderful cluster of figs

Im sitting on the patio swing relaxing right?

As usual when the Misses drinks coffee she gets to talking up a storm, well i listen or pretend to for a bit but often gaze at the trees and say yes dear uh huh and so forth so she still thinks im kinda paying attention to conversation but my mind does wonder .

Then Bada Boom !
I spot in not more than 10 feet away on my Negretta plant a fruit down low turning.
I look several times and say think let the Misses finish what she has to say get up and go see whats what.

here is simple picture thought i would share of 1 Negretta starting.

How is it for taste?

Martin, don't you love those surprises. That's kind of what happened to me and my Palermo Red last week. It just popped out of nowhere.

BLB, taste is individual thing , what i may not like the other person may like.

Example - Santa Cruz Dark was rated a 9-10 for taste on a chart i saw in past .
For me that plant may be chopped up and scion sold in future maybe someone else likes its taste.

Last season Negretta taste was up and down producing its first edible crop of figs.

Tree was obtained August of 2008 as a small starter plant and this season produced its best crop and grew faster than any previous seasons as it tended to be a slow grower.

As a note i did no pruning on this this plant as well going against what should have been done .

One growing different getting ripe.

JD,
i sorry i missed your question.
No i will not thin any of the figs on tree.

Here is a few pictures of figs in ripening stage.
