Martin,I have to say this picture is perfect!
Martin, I have to agree with Rafed. Looks like someone will be eating a bunch of figs, what a heavy bearer."gene"
Ciao Martin, what a nice picture! Negretta is a vigourous tree, mine is still young only aquired from Sergio early this year but grow wonderful! Yours is very beautiful. Much luck with this tree and is a very promising variety! Ciao
looks good.
My Negretta is also very aggressive Martin.
Thanks.Jose yes good strong plant - it came very close to being dead its first year.Mine had problems in fall of 2008 when i decided to put it in a gritty mix.The plant wilted and lost all leaves and main stem soon started to wilt bad next . I put it back into regular potting mix right before it went dormant at the time the main stem recovered .Spring of 2009 it grew slow and started its recovery - i took off the few figs it showed.Spring of 2010 it grew well and i kept the figs to eat - was not too happy with the taste and skin texture.Spring 2011 - did some root work and put into my homemade mix as i did with others. Now growing its best and putting on many figs. Its been through a lot and seems to be 1 tough plant. Im hoping the figs taste improves.
