Negretta coming through for me this season and i was happy with this plate of figs that did not last long after picture taken.

What is your assessment of the taste compared to the richness and sweetness of the others? For example-HC, Sal's, VdB, RdB, and others.

My personal assessment "in my climate only" growing these in containers.

Hc -is the richest tasting with nice balance of not overpowering sweetness out of the group mention here.
Sals - is sweet with secondary richness notes almost opposite of above.
Ronde and Vdb in different catagory with more of berry taste and then the sweet notes that follow.
Negretta -  juicy and sweet with very faint notes of richness. This season this plant is coming into its own as it get another season under its limbs .
As a note its limbs was not pruned and put on a nice size crop as shown in other pictures that are ripening.

Nice notes-Thanks- Negretta is one of those to get because of its rarity ( Along with the Jolly Tiger).

Martin....that plate of figs looks wonderful, and tasty.   Makes me want to jump in my car and drive north to come visit you!   I cannot wait until next year when I hopefully will have a Negretta of my own.  It will be quite coveted.  

Very beautiful. I have themr ripening now, maybe in day or two I will be happy to taste these. Good description on tastes.
