Looks real nice Martin

Is this a 'tease' or a 'sell' item?

Neither Gorgi, i have failed to make spares of some special plants to me in past and last season i made a few as a backup.

Tease.... So jealous!

Nothing like having a spare when Mother Nature let's the air out of your tire, or fig tree.

Martin,
All your trees always look so healthy. If you don't mind me asking what kind of soil mix do you use. The reason I'm asking is I have my trees in the same kind of containers but I'm worried that when it rains (a lot like its doing now) they will hold to much moisture.

 Thanks,
  Pete

Can we see the momma tree? I absolutely love seeing older, well shaped trees.

More sand will make your mixture drain faster. More perlite or pumice(never used it) will make air circulate better.

What's a negretta tree? Just wondering. I read that it is cold hardy . How hardy? I want to plant it in the ground! I have an eye out for one :-)

Jenny,

I have been all over the great state of Idaho, I doubt you will be able to plant any fig in-ground>>   I could be wrong!

What hardiness zone are you in?

jenniferarino83 - you can go to eastcoast figs website for its history better than i can put in words.
This one is from Italy and brief mention in Gustav's writings if memory serves me correct.

Phd - i have grown my fig plants in many different brand type of potting mixes, last season i make my own and some are in them some in other potting mixes still until there time to root prune.

7deuce - here is parent plant  from 2 seasons back and last season some examples of figs from it.

martin,

those figs look great. can't wait till the figs ripe here.

pete

They look like tiny bites of heaven!

For me at first fig was so so then it got much better but all our climates and taste buds differ.
