Negronne/VDB Fig

Does anyone know of a source to purchase a Violet De Bourdeaux/Negronne fig tree?

I was hoping to get one this fall, but all the places I have looked into are currently out of stock.

Or, does anyone have a cutting they would be willing to sell or trade?

The only thing I have to trade is a rooting of a "mystery Italian fig". I recently purchased 2 rooted cuttings that are about 12"-18" tall from a local owner. His parent fig tree started as a cutting from a neighbor's tree in NJ who brought their tree over from Italy. The figs on the parent tree were 'dark', but I didn't ask for a look at the inside of a fig...

Thanks,
Matt

One of my old favorite figs here in NJ is the VdB from EL.

Here is the source ... go for it ...
Oops EL's may not be available right now

Matt, send me a private message.  I can assist.

cheers,

My E.L. Negronne is still ripening figs for me.  They were just as sweet as before.  The skin does not seem to be getting as dark as they were.

I agree with Gorgi. Edible Landscaping carries that variety and is in Crozet, Va. Just a short drive from Barboursville.
