Marius,
Thanks for posting the pictures and commentary.
Your posts are always informative and I'm always referring back to them.
Thank you.

I guess I will have to add this cultivar to my list : )

mnedelcu ,I know what you mean, but in China, VDB have the leaf with 3 split also have 5 split.

We also have one kind of VDB do not have split leaf.

That fig is not Violette de Bordeaux period.
I have both and can tell you,for sure ,they are not.
Grown side by side,i can see big difference.

I am new for growing figs. Can you tell me what is the big difference between Nero600 and  VDB ?

Herman, I recall that there is a Nero600 and Nero600M. Are they the same or can you describe the differences?

Mike, there is a Nero 400,and a Nero 600,it was a typing eror, they are the same.
Also called Valle Calda.

XXX:In my climate out of the 2, I am pleased with Nero 600m only.
Violette is super delicious every year, ,in most climates ,but not in mine.
Nero 600m, can take my difficult climate, that is the difference.
I am sure Violette de B is delicious in your climate.

Thanks Herman, My Nero600m (thanks again) is looking real good. It has a number of figs
that should ripen by mid-late Sept.
