New at this..

I'm new to this forum and new to figs as well. I've placed a order for two of the hardy ever bearing figs. I have done some research and have got mixed reviews on that variety. I was thinking about getting two more varieties. My main focus is flavor and production. Any advice would be great.. I live in eastern Kentucky and I'm planning on rapping the trees in the winter. Thanks

Wecome eric. My self i am a fan of the dark figs
and some yellow. For a all around grate fig in my opinion LSU GOLD. MAKES A STOUT FAT FIG. VERY JUICEY. THEN THERE IS LSU BLACK
VERY SWEET DARK RED INTERIOR RONDE DE BORDEAUX ANOTHER GRATE TASTING FIG
AND EVERYONE'S FAVORITE " THE BROWN TURKEY! !! LOL. THESE ARE A FEW IF MY FAVORITE FIGS. Most of the lsu figs are very good.

What is the main difference in the flavor of the dark vs yellow figs.

All figs have different flavor and textures. Dark figs can have a more berry flavor were as yellow has a honey flavor. I really like the sweet berry flavor of dark figs. You need to get a dark and a yellow to start out and go from there. Dark figs yellow figs white figs stripe figs etc. Its endless
and then there is seedless which i am getting theis spring. Richie

Have you had any experience with the hardy everbaring fig?
