So finally found a lowes that was selling a fig tree! I got the only type that was available (Chicago Hardy) and I wanted to buy other variaties but they just didn't have them ;(

Anyway my little fig tree has some leafs on and seems to be growing well enough. Even has four tiny figs growing on it!

I'm not sure if I should remove the figs so that the plant can focus on growing or if I should just leave them on (which is what my mother wants lol) or if I should do both (remove half of the figs growing and leave half?

What do you think? Advice very much appreciated!

It is extremely hard to pinch your first figlets, leave them and enjoy.  Yes it may divert energy from the roots but the initial joy is worth it.  I know many will disagree, just my opinion, which you asked for, LOL
