NEW! Fig Poster

From a photo by Ken Love, of almost all of the figs at UC Davis, taken September 2007, and featured on the cover of CRFG's Fruit Gardener last Fall. Pix at http://www.hawaiifruit.net/figposterproofWEB.jpg  You can order from http://www.localharvest.org in a few days. Key identifies all the figs in the pix.

looks great. Is this the photo that was used in the CRFG magazine?
I wonder when you set them together how did you track which is which.

Ken took the picture, so don't know how he kept track of the different figs. Yes, it was on the cover of the Fruit Gardener.

oops, I guess I didn't read your first post, but went straight to the link.
It's a wonderful poster.

Hi,
I kept a map of each one as I placed it down. Worked fine for whole figs but I lost it after cutting each one in half and trying to do a shot of half figs.

You can see the shot here

I was not sure of the key so I didnt print it.

Still want to make a figsaw puzzle too!

Ken,

Your wish is my command:

Fig Puzzle

It took me 5 min 30 sec to do...

Sue

Wow, thats really cool.

Ill have to look more at the site late rand see if they can print 1000 puzzles or so.

thanks again

Hi Ken,

Click on "Change Cut" on the left of the puzzle and you can choose not only different shapes but up to 247 cuts. It doesn't go to 1000 but think of the time one would have to spend online doing one this large. It takes me 10-15 min to do an 80-piece puzzle and that's long enough  for me.

Some of the puzzle cuts are quite a challenge themselves...like tetris, birds, and euros but they are fun. You can embed the puzzle into your website too.

Sue

Thanks Sue,
I was looking to get printed puzzles ion boxes that we could sell at the farmers market here. Did check some places online and with my poster printer but just didnt find the right deal yet.

Take care

The poster looks awesome.  I can't wait to have it framed so I can hang it in my home office...very cool.

Get ready....set...groan...it's a FIGsaw puzzle.

Neat!  Good job Sue!
