New member fig issues

I live in southeast Florida and for a few years I've had Magnolia, brown turkey and Ischia fig plants in the ground that are healthy, grow vigorously and show no signs of stress or disease but I've never had a single fruit from any of them.

Any ideas on getting them to fruit?

Where did you buy them from and how big were they when they arrived? From the variety names and your experience I will guess that they are tissue culture plants. You will read about different experiences regarding fruiting of these plants and that is most likely due to how they were produced.

One process in particular can cause plants to revert to a seed like state, somatic embryogenesis. They display vigorous growth and suckering but do not bare fruit until the growth has matured. The best advice is to grow the plants as a single trunk, removing all branches and suckers until a fruit is formed, then a cutting is taken from the top and rooted, the original plant is then discarded. It is a lot of work and unfortunate that the companies selling these plants did not consider the problem.

I bought them in garden centers of big box stores, one (the ischia) had figs on it some 5+ years ago, all were about 3' tall and had multiple branches when I got them and none have suckered since then.

Check out some of the recent posts on pinching including FiggyFranks awesome video . That might help jump start your plants and sounds like you have nothing to lose

Are they getting full sun, at least 8 hrs a day? If not, they won't fruit. Period.

Hi gnappi,
Welcome !
Are your trees in ground or in pots ?
Are you fertilizing the trees ?
Pics of the trees to check how healthy they are ?
Did they pop figlets and all dropped ? Or never seen a small fig ?
If by "few years" you mean at least  4, then BT must have figlets or she is not BT .
