New member, Hello

Hello everyone,

Let me introduce myself as DeGrady_Figs, yes I am new to the Fig Forum but I am not new to Figs, I have been growing and propagating figs for several years. Sorry for going about this the wrong way just trying to correct myself and apologize to whom I may have offended. I am just trying to sell some cuttings on Ebay. The fig I have listed as a Gilbon is similar to the Galbun,Gulbun and the Conadria Figs. When the fruit is ripe the skin is a light green with a Carmel color inside, the fruit is approx. 2”to2.5” in diameter and has a very sweet taste, my tree produced over 60 pounds of ripe figs last year. I propagated this fig tree from an elderly lady in Austin, TX and have been growing this variety for several years now in Bastrop, TX. I am also listing Celeste cuttings as well. I hope this helps clear things up.

Thanks,

DeGrady_Figs

Whoever you are, took you a long time to explain/respond yourself to us. However, thanks for the correction.

Thanks for coming back to check in.

Myself and others could be interested in this fig.  It could be very helpful to see some pictures of the fruit size, shape and interior, and of some of the dominant leaf shapes, just to compare with some of the figs you've mentioned.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi there,
this is what i posted on the other thread abou subject.

held back from posting but i knew this picture looked familar but could not place where i saw it .
Its been a while since i visited Kens site and even had past correspondence with him and he is a very nice fella its a shame this happened.
Yes thats is his picture it matches exactly there is no doubt.

A little bit about me,
im a long time grower of figs and grew up eating figs , i belong to both forums and post many many pictures most watermarked for the purpose to deter folks from useing my pictures without my permission.

With that being said........

All i will say is i have talked in past with Ken he works hard at what he does, website, pictures, growing etc and i as a fellow fig grower and Ebay seller i would be very upset if someone used a picture without my permission .

Last several years some of us on the forums have seen this happen , when we do we call it out to help one another.

I cannot tell you to apologize to the man and take down what was posted on ebay "IF" you did not have his permission.
If you did not im sure you know how to contact him if you choose that route.

If Ken does not know what happened he will shortly.

Degrady_Figs

just a follow up i had emailed and recieved back a response that no one contacted him for permission to use any of his pictures.

Perhaps an apology can be made to him thru his email on his website if this is what you choose.

EDIT:
I see Ken now posted on the other thread about subject.
