Hi, just a quick note to introduce myself - I live at the Glasshouse Mountains Qld, and grow flowering tropical trees and fruit trees (only a few figs though).

Like a lot of people, I get despondent if I think about all the varieties of fruit that have been in Government collections and then bulldozed, and try to match this with personal endeavour to save whatever I can and then share it like a possessed and proselytizing beast.

Welcome to the forum and best of luck with your quest.

  Hello down there. :-),
  Glad to meet you.
I feel the same, that keeping all the eggs in one basket is a seriously bad scenario.
What are the QL regulations on import/export of plant material ?

Hi there,

I feel (and can find out but do not know for sure), that it is much easier to import seed to Australia rather than plant material.  Similarly, I think it is easier to import plant material to the US or Thailand than anywhere else...and so Thailand has become the horticultural capital of the world...

Welcome , glad you are here!!

Welcome Dean, would like to share some pictures of your trees? I am shamelessly fishing for pictures of QL :)
