New Pix

I took pictures last August of a collection in Orange County, CA. some of which were in-ground and some in pots, on the driveway, pool deck, etc.

The most interesting fig was this one:

Both figs were from the same tree, same branch, just a couple inches apart. Parent tree has the same behavior. This is Unknown Back jack FN.

I still have to finish a couple links and what not, but there are picutes of:

Alma

Atreano

Beall

Black Ischia

Black Mission

Brown Turkey

Conadria

Double Header

Desert King

Excel

Falls Gold

Flanders

Long Yellow

Negronne

New Jelly Strawberry

Peter's Honey

Saint Anthony

Sicilian Bifara 64

Strawberry Jam

Strawberry Verte

Unknown Black Jack FN

Ventura

Violette de Bordeaux

UCR 278-128

Thanks Jon. Great pics. It was also helpful that you listed which updates you performed. That Black Jack fig is strange ... did you notice if large ones were on some branches and small ones on others - or were they mixed? Also, did you notice a taste difference between the two?

I had asked for the ID of the real Black Jack before.
Also have seen pics of small and big BJ's.
Mine is back-traced to Monrovia (via James).
So far it only produced huge figs.

My Black Jack came from a local nursery. No idea where they got it from. It has a fruit about the size of Brown Turkey, and is somewhere between BT and Black Mission for flavor - some years closer to one and other yeas, to the other.
