I am new to the fig grwing world and have a question in regards to preperation for winter. I have about 25 or so unripe fig on my tree and all the leaves are off , Do I remove the figs before wrapping for winter or leave them on?  Thanks !!!

welcome to the forum. which zone are you in, and which state? is your tree in ground or in a container? i'm in nc and i grow all my fig trees in containers. i remove my figs right before i move them into my garage for the winter.

I am in Pa and the Tree is in the ground.

welcome to the forum. if it looks like the immature figs will not have time to ripen, remove them as soon as you realize this. Good luck!

Oh, since you are new, if you go to the control panel link upper right, you can put your state/planting zone in the signature secton of your profile.  That always helps us help you in future questions because different figs do better in different climates.

I like to extend my welcome also! I remove the unripened figs from my trees also- they are grown in pots.

Welcome to the forum, Yes I agree too, remove the figs unless there is any chance they might ripen which depends on whether you've had a frost yet and how mature the figs are. I'm in Philly, where in PA are you?
