New to the forum

Hello my name is Jack. I found this forum right after buying my first Fig tree..an Ischia. As I was standing in my front yard trying to decide where I was going to plant it, and man stopped to ask if I wanted a free Fig tree that he had rooted last year. I said yes! So now suddenly I have two trees!! He didn't know the variety of Fig, but I didn't care..it needs some TLC so I figured it has come to the right person. Just wanted to say hello and share some pics, because everyone like Fig pics..right?!

Here is the Ischia

Here is the Fig offering

Welcome !

Roogus...welcome to the forum, and thanks for the pics...good luck with your trees.

Sit back, read everything that's been posted past and present about figs, ask questions, then eat the delicious figs that YOU grew.

This fig forum and its members will help you along every step of the way to successfully growing your two, new fig trees.

Welcome, and happy growing.

Frank

Hi everyone!
I'm a new member, I'm a Canadian living in Italy with my danish partner who run and own Agriturismo Due Papaveri (duepapaveri.com) in the Modenese hillside.  We have a number of older fig trees (unsure which variety) and will be planting and hoping to propagate more!  Besides eating fresh and in baked goods I'd like to try and make some preserves maybe even dry the figs in the future when we have an abundance.

Thanks,
Luca Madonia
