Working on rooting some cuttings I purchased, trying to keep alive some small fig trees, and reading this forum daily. Sometimes three or four times a day! Today I am going to root prune a three year old brown turkey.

I still consider myself a newbie until I am experienced enough to know what I am doing.

There is a lot of knowledge hidden in the search function.  I am reading every single JH Adriatic post.

Trying to root what I got from Coop and some negronne cuttings I got off the street. I use 50% potting mix and 50% perlite. Have to wait and see if this works.

Last I checked were 2 under the all time high of 196.

Nevermind were at 205 now. The old records broken.

This is true. I have had a couple senior members mention this to me in PMs.

I think it's really great that when a new member posts their introduction so many of us welcome them with reply's

Jon's forum is a lot kinder, receptive and nurturing since the Big Bang occurred.

My newest project is setting up my 140 gallon fish tank. Using my canaster filter pump to circulate 3 inchs of water at bottom to root cutting. Trying to figure out how to mount fig cuttings so they will stand up and root. Maybe foam Board cut to fit tight with holes for cuttings. still figuring it out. I got to much time on my hands. I usually just poke them in soil and watch them grow. Lol. Richie

Just waiting for the warm weather to stay around so I can get some cuttings rock and rolling.

I may not have been clear in my post earlier, I was talking about the most members online here thing mentioned at the bottom of the forum page. 295 from 3 hours ago. Come on guys...

Up-potting

Hi Dennis,

I've been getting a bunch of new cuttings from generous forum members. Rooting them isn't a problem - I've had good results over the past few years and I'm confident with that. The goal this year is to get my fig fertilization regimen down. I keep my trees alive and well, but I know I can make them much more healthy and productive. I've been scouring this forum's past chats on the subject, as well as other online research. Pretty confident I'll have that down this year.
