I just bought my first fig tree, a desert king! I've ben lurking on the boards a while to get info on figs and gardening in general. I live in Campbell River, B.C. which is zone 7a/b. Hopefully next year ill be able to share some cuttings. Last year my blueberries didn't fare so well when I went away on holidays for 2 weeks, my parents only watered the cat and not my plants. So I'm going to build a 5 gallon sip later today!

Hi Andy. I'm also a newb and a fellow Canadian. Sorry about Luongo but congrats on your Desert King. I hope it grows to give you an abundance of figs.You'll find this place to be an amazing place. People are quick to help you on any aspect of fig growing.

I'm warning you it gets highly addictive though. Sorry to hear about your blueberries. I hope you get a good amount this year.
