Newbie Chula Vista Zone 10a

Well I officially potted my first 3 fig trees from cuttings! I don't really I know what I'm doing but I'm learning a lot from this forum and videoes. Sometimes advice conflicts so I guess like many others..I will learn from my mistakes.  I have one goal and that is to get as many tasty Figs as I can! I honestly have only tasted two different types of figs but that was enough for me to want my own trees! I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing my experience.  I have found four fig trees growing within my neighborhood since I started searching for figs trees! It seems most people grow the missions here. I'm hoping to find some more! My cuttings are small so I'm sure it will be awhile before I find out how they turn out but I'm still excited to get started :D

Congratulations and welcome, did you know some fig trees are photo bombing your selfies?,total zone envy!,my figs only grow that much in a a whole season if I'm lucky

Welcome to the Forum! You have done a great job so far! : )

Ha Love your name, I joked this morning with my wife that she should register as "Juicy Fig", she was not pleased...:)

Sometimes Advice is worth what you paid for it, sometimes it's better than gold dust.

Mission is a decent fig, Jon has a "Vista mission" which is supposed to be a genetic cousin to VDB, and grows much better, I would give Encanto a ring and see when that will be available. How much "yard space" do you have? Since you are in Fig paradise, you may want to consider the top X number of figs you can fit in ground and go from there.

Would love to see some progress pics of those figs

Welcome.  Your plants look great.
