Hi all . I've been a voracious reader here and decided to finally post. I'm amazed and grateful for the wealth of information provided here . I've had 2  purple figs unknown and 1 Chicago Hardy growing in pots and 1 unnamed - possibly Italian honey in ground, all for about 4 yrs now. I think the FIG BUG officially bit when I found this site ! The varieties - all the varieties I didn't know existed ! And I've been reading ever since and starting to collect.
I just bought 3 from ebay from sellers on this forum. I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival.
We live on Long Island , NY. I've been an avid flower/veggie home gardener for a lot of years. Now intend to be a an avid fig grower! :-)'s

Welcome to the forum, There are a couple members in your neck of the woods, I'm sure you will here from them too at some point. Figs collection sure is hard to stop once you get started but so much fun too. Great group here as you already know.

Welcome from me too!  We look forward to seeing pictures of your figs, and do report on the new Ebay figs you got!  Hope they arrive healthy and ready to be cared for by you!
