Hello new to fig collecting. So far I am extremely intrigued by all the different varieties. I only have a few but I have the fever. But all I can get from my local nurseries thus far has been an Alma,celeste,brown turkey and a magnolia. I bought a few small 4" figs on ebay but those will be a while before they fruit.
Those that I got were Chicago hardy,lsu purple, green ischia,and a black mission.
Definitely interested in any varieties if anyone ever has any that they would be willing part with or trade. Thanks and love the site.

There are online or mail order nurseries, many of which are referenced on this forum, including my own, Encanto Farms. You are not limited to local sources. I have a Green Ischia on Ebay, currently.

Welcome Jeff!  Best thing you can do is go to the control panel upper right corner of the screen, and put your zone or location in the signature section.  This will help us help you.  Also put your wish list in there!

Jeff I am glad that you have joined the forum and that you got some fever like me. I think you got fever when you visited me, you was bitten by the bug that lives in my gardens. LoL

Wow!  I had no clue as to what figs were going for on ebay.  I bought three of my figs on Craigs list.  I had one brown turkey and was looking for a few more. The person was kind enough to take the time to show me his 60+ figs and teach me about the care and feeding needed to make them flourish. He also did me a huge favor by directing me to this forum.
