Hi Everyone, I have been reading and lurking in the fig world.  I am wanting to try and grow a fig tree in a pot - I am in Kentucky and I don't know where to get a cutting or what fig I should attempt to grow.  I know I want a dark fig.  Any suggestions on who to contact about a cutting and what variety I should try would be appreciated greatly.

We were all lurkers once, lol.  I would go with Violette de Bordeux, look at it on Encantos fig varieties.  I have one in a pot right now in TX.
